Dear Parishioners,
Regarding Pope Francis' recent statements on persons with same-sex attractions, please consider the critique expressed in this YouTube video, and follow up with your own research into what is commonly meant by "convivencia civil," which Pope Francis said and which the media has interpreted for us as claiming Pope Francis endorses civil unions ("unión civil," which Pope Francis did not say). The truth may be an indictment of the media and rather than of Pope Francis. I trust that we will soon have definitive clarification from the hierarchy.

Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. Mark Van Alstine
